Kathy and David tied the knot on New Year's Day. They were our first wedding of the year and at one of our favorite venues in Tampa, The Bayanihan Arts and Events Center. Both previous times we shot with Kathy and David we were all totally freezing (their engagement session was on the ice at the St. Pete Times Forum) and with snowflake inspired decor we were all convinced it might actually snow on their wedding day. It didn't. It was actually quite gorgeous out and we had a blast throughout the entire wedding, especially the Studio Booth which I'll share later.

I really like the backlighting dance floor shots. Was one of you holding the strobe for these shots to insure proper alignment or did you just wait for the right time with the strobe on a light stand, or did you suggest to the bride to dance in front of the strobe mostly?
ReplyDeleteI like the pose/framing of the pier/water shot too.
Thanks! We both shoot about half the dance and then one of us throws the light on a radio receiver and crouches. We've made a habit of doing this at every wedding and it's becoming sort of a signature :)
