Real Wedding: Caryn & Brent!

Saturday we had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of our friends Caryn and Brent at their beautiful beach ceremony on Macdill Air Force base. The weather was beautiful and sunny, and everyone had a great time. Caryn did a great planning job and many of details of the ceremony and reception were very original but classic. Here are a few sneek peeks of images from my favorite moments...

Heather & Matt: Engagement Session!

We had a blast hanging out and goofing around with Heather and Matt in downtown St. Petersburg today for their engagement photos. And aside from a few of us stepping on horseshoe crabs, it was a good time all around. We even got some shots of dolphins in the background- what more can you ask for?! Here are a few sneak peeks...

Maternity Shoot

We did our first maternity shoot this weekend, and I was really happy with the images we got. Here is my favorite:

Second Shoot with Suzy

Did we mention before that this girl is amazing? We LOVE her :) She layed down in a puddle in the rain in an alley for us and didn't even hesitate. We got so many great and diverse shots with her.

High Fashion/ Red Dress Shoot

We got the opportunity to collaborate with an amazing fashion designer, Sandra Hagen, who created this amazing red dress for this shoot. The inspiration was a Royal poinciana tree in Bartlett Park. I wanted to showcase the tree like an old highwaymen painting while having something very fluid and flowing on the model. The dress was designed custom for our model, Suzy, who really made the dress and these shots as great as they are.

On our first day of shooting, it ended up raining all day, so we got stuck in the studio but got some great beauty shots while we had the makeup artist collaborating with us.

Eventually, we did get the poinciana shot as well as some gorgeous images of Suzy wearing the dress on a dock in south St. Pete.

We're Painting on Clothing Now :)

I think this was the best in studio shoot we have had to date because our model, Sony, totally brought it! I am really starting to think that we are good at this too because this is another image that translated from my head to film beautifully. Just how I pictured it :) My favorite component of this series are the expressions on Sony's face; she is so animated and that is exactly why she was perfect for this project. I can;t wait to shoot some fashion series with her!

New Body Painting Series

One of the series I have been wanting to do for a while is recreations of famous works on models with body paint. I finally had my first model volunteer for this yesterday and I have to say that Leslie really transformed into a piece of art. When you start to invision a project like this, it usually looks totally different in your head or in your sketched than it ends up translating into the finished product. But I am ecstatic that this series is turning out to be exactly what I dreamed up and I am really pleased with the first final in this series of 4. I might end up having to do more than planned if I keep getting such fantastic models and results.

Caryn's Bridal Portraits

One of my favorite things is doing bridal portraits but at the same time I hate them because I can never display them online until after the wedding! We had a fun session today with my friend Caryn and they turned out amazing! I just wish I could show them to everybody. Alas, we'll have to keep them a secret until August ;)

Jacqulyn + Scott &$124; Venice Beach Wedding Photography

The pre-Wedding festivities and reception were at the Horse and Chaise Inn in Venice Beach, Florida. A huge Banyan tree was the center of the garden and it was lit up and decorated with flowers hanging from its branches. It looked like something out of a story book! Absolutely beautiful, and the guests were taken via trolley to the beach for the ceremony which was a ton of fun and so unique. Scott and Jackie are an amazing and fun couple and that came through in their Pina Colada Wedding cake and Candy bar! I am a cake connoisseur and this was the best wedding cake I have ever had besdies my own :) I can't wait to finish editing these photos because they came out stunning, so here are a few of them:

Engagement: Caryn & Brent

I can't even describe how much fun we had on this shoot. Caryn and Brent are so much like Evan and I...so of course we loved them, cause we think WE are pretty awesome :) I think we got more than 50 final edited shots from this day, about 2000 pictures total, so it's waaaaay too much material to put here...but here are our favorites.
